Commitment to Safety
At ReadySite, safety is more than just a priority — it’s a core value that drives everything we do. We are committed to creating and maintaining a secure environment for all of our workers, subcontractors, and visitors on every job site. From the moment we begin a project, we implement strict safety measures that align with the highest industry standards to ensure that everyone goes home safely at the end of each day.
Thinking Ahead: Proactive Safety Measures
We believe that safety starts with planning, and at ReadySite, we take proactive steps to minimize risks before work begins. Our Carpenters and Foremen are responsible for completing Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), which are designed to assess potential hazards and develop strategies to address them. This ensures that every task is approached with the right precautions in place. Additionally, all team members are required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for their specific roles, keeping safety at the forefront of their daily tasks.
Managing Site Traffic and Personnel
A crucial aspect of job site safety is controlling the flow of personnel and materials. Our Gate Attendants and Buckhoist/Elevator Operators play an integral role in managing traffic on-site, ensuring that only authorized personnel and materials enter or exit. Gate Attendants are responsible for verifying credentials, maintaining a clean and organized entrance, and ensuring everyone follows PPE requirements. Similarly, Buckhoist and Elevator Operators ensure safe, efficient vertical transport for materials and workers, preventing delays and minimizing potential hazards. Their role in controlling site traffic contributes directly to the overall safety and efficiency of the project.
Ongoing Training and Communication
At ReadySite, we invest in continuous training to ensure our team is always up-to-date with the latest safety protocols. All employees participate in daily meetings to review tasks, discuss any potential hazards, and plan for a safe workday. Our Foremen, who are OSHA 30 certified, play a leadership role in ensuring that safety measures are consistently followed. In addition to daily meetings, we conduct weekly toolbox talks to focus on specific safety topics that are relevant to the current phase of the project. This ongoing communication helps reinforce our safety culture and ensures that all team members are aware of potential risks.
Inspections and Compliance
Safety is not just about planning; it’s also about monitoring. Our team regularly conducts inspections for specific tasks to ensure compliance with safety regulations and that all equipment is in optimal working condition. These inspections help identify potential risks before they become issues and are a critical part of our approach to maintaining a safe environment on every job site. By holding ourselves accountable through routine checks, ReadySite ensures that every aspect of the project adheres to the highest safety standards.
A Culture of Safety
ReadySite’s commitment to safety goes beyond protocols and training; it’s ingrained in our company culture. Our team members understand that maintaining a safe job site is everyone’s responsibility, and we foster an environment where safety is a shared value. By empowering our workforce to take ownership of safety and actively participate in daily safety practices, ReadySite creates a culture where safety is prioritized at every level. This shared commitment ensures that we not only meet but exceed safety expectations on every project we take on.
