A Milestone for Charlotte: Reflecting on Our Role at The Pearl

For nearly two years, ReadySite has been proud to contribute to The Pearl, one of Charlotte’s most exciting and transformative projects. As we move beyond the grand opening events, we reflect on the remarkable progress this mixed-use development has made and the lasting impact it will have on the city.

The Pearl Innovation District is a multi-phase project designed to bring together leaders from academia, healthcare, and business to collaborate and drive innovation. Anchored by institutions like the Charlotte campus of Wake Forest University School of Medicine and the North American headquarters of IRCAD, The Pearl is on track to become a hub for cutting-edge research and medical education. This development will not only provide a space for growth but will also create new opportunities for the community.

ReadySite joined the project in 2023, and we’re proud of the steady presence our team brought to the job. Across many months and phases, our crew supported day-to-day operations with consistency, care, and a strong focus on safety. We provided buck hoist and elevator operators, gate attendants, carpenters, and cleaners—each role playing a part in keeping the site moving and supporting the trades and general contractors on the ground. Their dedication, professionalism, and teamwork reflect the values we bring to every project. 

We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to the leadership of Whiting-Turner Contracting Company and R.J. Leeper Construction for their commitment to excellence and seamless coordination throughout this project. We also appreciate the visionary leadership of Wexford Science & Technology, Atrium Health, and Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Their collaboration and foresight have made The Pearl a reality, and we’re excited to see how it will transform Charlotte.
